We were so lucky to have connected with Susan and Robert from the very beginning of their engagement. We witnessed Robert get down on one knee on the shores of Coronado and propose to the love of his life, Susan extremely surprised of course said yes and then the excitement of their engagement was underway. After the whirlwind evening of the engagement, everyone wondering when and where, they planned their dream summer wedding at Robert’s sister’s private residence in Alpine. We arrived to the usual buzz of girls getting ready, Susan was beaming and there was an exciting energy through the whole house. Susan had a first look with her dad which is always such a special moment, to see his daughter in her wedding dress, a teary moment soon turned into laughter as they practiced their father/daughter dance. Their ceremony and reception were in the large main lawn with rocks, trees and mountains as the backdrop, a dreamy garden outdoor wedding. As Susan was escorted by her dad down the ceremony aisle, Robert could not take his gaze off of her. After a special prayer, personal vows, and the exchange of rings, these two were officially Mr and Mrs Clay, surrounded by family and a ton of hugs, everyone just loved seeing this couple tie the knot. The summer sun set and the market lights lit up the black and white checkered dance floor and it was time to celebrate and dance! We captured so much and excited for the images to convey the energy, love and happiness from their wedding day.
